The Austin Kids Chess Club was established in September 2009 to promote scholastic chess in the Austin area. The club won its first national title in the 2010 US Junior Open, winning first place in the Under-8 category for both team and individual. Although it is mainly for kids, adults are also welcome. Please see the club schedule below for specific time and place of club meetings.
